High reliability for cabin interconnections
General Information
The EN4165 standard ( also known as MBBN3330 and BACC65 for the mono-module) is a rectangular , modular and multi-contact connector used in most of the new configuration of cabin interior and In Flight Entertatainment system.
This standard offers the possibility of three different shell sizes in order to meet any requirments
One size is made to accomodate 4 modules whereas the second is made to accomodate 2 modules.
The third option which is mainly used on the latest aircraft program is the mono-module due to his fast and secure connection for cabin applications and IFE.
Furthermore, the inserts used on this series are also qualified under ECS7089, BACI10 to meet the Aircraft manufacturer specifications.
Two different inserts are available under the EN4165, identified on the specifications as series 2 and 3 ( Series 3 use the same contacts than the D38999 series III)
Additionnaly, contacts used on this efficient family of connector are qualified under the EN3155, M39029 and ECS7089 depending of the standard required.
Moreover, manufacturers have created a new higher density with a reverse design to offer an excellent protection of contacts gauge 23
From the civil to the military not forgetting about the helicopters applications benefits are :
- Male and female modules can be mixed in the same housing

Allows mixing of contact types such as signal, coaxial, Quadrax, power and optical
