M39029 - Qualified Rugged Electrical Contacts

General Information 

MIL-C-39029 more commonly known as M39029 is now superseded by the SAE-AS39029.

This specification covers the general requirements for crimp and solder wiring process of contacts used in electrical connectors .

Benefit of this standard is the compatibility with the most common connectors used in aviation.

(Mil-C-5015 – Mil-C-24308 / Mil-C-26482 series I and II / Mil-C-26500 / Mil-C-38999 I-II and III … etc)

Connectors can be circular or rectangular from Military specifications to other aircraft manufacturers specifications.

EN3155 which is the contact specification used by Airbus in most of their electrical connectors is derived and interchangeable with the AS39029.

Major types of contact are signal, power, thermocouple,coaxial and twinaxial pin or socket contacts.
