To protect them, it exists different type of protections which have been developed to protect against abrasion, high temperature, EMI or mechanical stress.

FYREJACKET

Silicone-coated sleeve with good resistance to high temperatures; provides excellent protection against high temperatures, fire, and molten splashes.

This Sleeve made with Fiberglass and silicone is design as Tubular protection
The operating Temperature is -54°C (-65°F) to +260°C (+500°F)
This Heat Protection is a convective type available from size 8 to 101 mm (5/16” to 4”). This version sis Halogen-free.

ROUNDIT THERM-B

Two layer design provides outstanding thermal/fire protection and excellent cut-through and abrasion resistance; oil and water repellent.

this Sleeve made with Nomex® and PEEK with fiberglass and silicone is a Wrappable version.
The Operating Temperature is -60°C (-76°F) to +260°C (+500°F)
this protection is made according a reference Standards. Fire protection of wire harnesses performances are according to ISO 2685: 15 minutes at +1100°C (+2012°F)
This Fire-proof type available from 10 to 32 mm (3/8” to 1-1/4”)

ROUNDIT THERM-A

Three layer design provides high thermal/fire protection up to +1100°C; excellent cut-through and abrasion resistance; oil and water repellent.

This version is Flame Resistance according to FAR Part 25 § 853

ROUNDIT 2000 NX EMI

Self-wrapping, multi-layer solution providing mechanical protection and very high performance EMI shielding. Can be delivered. With an inner layer of PTFE. For protection of the cables against. Abrasion from the metal layer; oil and water repellent.

this EMI protection is made with a Nickel-plated copper C27 according to ASTM B-355 combined with Nomex® multifilaments and PPS monofilaments. No constraints only solutions with Federal Mogul.
